Twelve luxury, air-conditioned cabañas are built along the river bank, each with a river view, amidst lush gardens. A beautiful swimming pool, a 20 ft. high bird watching tower, a birding trail, and a resident massage therapist are great reasons to spend the day on site.

Situated on the north bank of the Mopan River, across from Benque Viejo del Carmen in western Belize, Mopan River Resort is ideally located for exploring all the fabulous ruins, caves, and wildlife adventure that the Cayo District, and the region, has to offer. Accessed only by our private ferry or boat, the resort has a secluded atmosphere; yet the cultural flavor and sleepy village life of Benque Viejo are close at hand. From Belize City, the paved Western Highway is an easy ride all the way into "Benque." This accessibility makes it very convenient, less time consuming, and more comfortable, to visit the sights of the region from our location.
